X-ray diffraction

We are equipped with a BRUKER D8 discover high resolution diffractometer. On the source side, we have a Copper anode tube, with a Goebbel mirror to increase the brightness of the source and a 3 channel Ge monochromator can be fitted for high resolution experiments. The sample holder is a Euler craddle, allowing any movements - in particular texture measurements can be performed. On the detection side, both a ponctual detector and a linear camera detector are available. Triple crystal measurements are possible thanks to a monochromator fitted on the ponctual detector.

Surface diffraction experiments are also possible, by rotating the source. Although this equipment has many features useful for monocrystal studies, it allow us to collect important informations on the CIGS layers, as well as on full cells.
