Résumé: Magnetotransport measurements have been performed on (112)-oriented bulk Cd3As2 samples with in situ rotation at low temperature. The frequency analysis of the Shubnikov–de Haas oscillations reveals two weakly separated frequencies arising from two Fermi ellipsoids. The angle dependence of these frequencies is fitted by an analytical expression that we derived for any magnetic field orientation. It is based on an 8 × 8 k · p model which includes the spin-orbit coupling, the crystal field splitting due to tetragonal distortion, and the additional band splitting occurring in noncentrosymmetric crystals. This band splitting is evaluated to a finite value of 30 meV, demonstrating the absence of inversion symmetry in our Cd3 As2 crystal.

Résumé: Here we demonstrate for the first time that Mn2+-doped Prussian blue nanoparticles of c.a. 70 nm act as effective agents for photothermal therapy under two-photon excitation with an almost total eradication of malignant cells (97 and 98%) at a concentration of 100 μg mL−1 24 h after NIR excitation. This effect combined with interesting longitudinal NMR relaxivity values offer new perspectives for effective imaging and cancer treatment.

Résumé: We combine an analytically solvable mean-field elasto-plastic model with molecular dynamics simulations of a generic glass-former to demonstrate that, depending on their preparation protocol, amorphous materials can yield in two qualitatively distinct ways. We show that well-annealed systems yield in a discontinuous brittle way, as metallic and molecular glasses do. Yielding corresponds in this case to a first-order nonequilibrium phase transition. As the degree of annealing decreases, the first-order character becomes weaker and the transition terminates in a second-order critical point in the universality class of an Ising model in a random field. For even more poorly annealed systems, yielding becomes a smooth crossover, representative of the ductile rheological behavior generically observed in foams, emulsions, and colloidal glasses. Our results show that the variety of yielding behavior found in amorphous materials does not result from the diversity of particle interactions or microscopic dynamics {\it per se}, but is instead unified by carefully considering the role of the initial stability of the system.

Résumé: We introduce the notion of $N$-reflection equation which provides a large generalization of the usual classical reflection equation describing integrable boundary conditions. The latter is recovered as a special example of the $N=2$ case. The basic theory is established and illustrated with several examples of solutions of the $N$-reflection equation associated to the rational and trigonometric $r$-matrices. A central result is the construction of a Poisson algebra associated to a non skew-symmetric $r$-matrix whose form is specified by a solution of the $N$-reflection equation. Generating functions of quantities in involution can be identified within this Poisson algebra. As an application, we construct new classical Gaudin-type Hamiltonians, particular cases of which are Gaudin Hamiltonians of $BC_L$-type .

Résumé: Starting from the Bethe ansatz solution for the open Totally Asymmetric Simple Exclusion Process (TASEP), we compute the largest eigenvalue of the deformed Markovian matrix, in exact agreement with results obtained by the matrix ansatz. We also compute the eigenvalues of the higher conserved charges. The key step is to find a simpler equivalent T-Q relation, which is similar to the one for the TASEP with periodic boundary conditions.
