We synthesized a sample of poly (1H, 1H, 2H, 2H-perfluorododecyl acrylate) (P11) and used it as an alignment layer in different liquid crystalline cells. A good quality of alignment was obtained for both nematic and chiral smectic C phases. Electro-optic response measurement were performed for ZLI 3774 mixture aligned on the semifluorinated polyacrilate to confirm high quality of the alignment.
